Everyday Americans keep our elections fair — and they take this responsibility seriously. In recent years, however, individuals who have spent their careers safeguarding the electoral process are facing unprecedented levels of harassment and are leaving the profession in droves.

recent poll reveals a high rate of turnover among election workers, equivalent to approximately one to two election workers quitting each day since the 2020 election. Several states have taken action already to ensure that election workers can safely perform their jobs and continue to securely administer elections.

This Wednesday, March 27 at 1:00 PM ET, CLC’s panel of experts will discuss the importance of election workers in safeguarding our democracy, what can be done to retain election workers and institutional knowledge and steps made both statewide and nationally toward protecting election workers.
