Dear John,

When a few of us launched the Ms. Foundation for Women over 50 years ago, we naively assumed that once people knew how small a percentage of philanthropic dollars went to women and girls, we would swiftly correct the problem and gaps.

Yet today, women and girls of color still receive just half a cent of every $100 philanthropic investment.

The Ms. Foundation is needed now more than ever – and we need you to join us in support of our 50th Anniversary campaign.

The most powerful thing you can do right now is to help ensure that the Ms. Foundation has full funding to ignite the powerful work that is so urgently needed.

With your support of the Ms. Foundation, and through the work of committed grantee partners and movement leaders, we will reassert our right to bodily autonomy and reproductive justice.

We will advocate and build women’s political power. We will end gender-based violence, secure wage equity, and work to ensure quality healthcare services for all.

The list is long, but our imagination and collective power has no bounds. And so, my greatest wish is that you become a part of the work that will define what is yet to come. Together, we ARE more powerful. With resources in hand, the possibilities are truly endless.
