You would think that with everything going on right now, legislators would take a break from attacking the LGBTQ+ community. But despite the many issues facing our nation, bigots around the country found the time to propose a record-breaking number of anti-equality legislation. They made a special effort to attack the trans community, with many pieces of legislation targeting kids.
Bathroom bans are making a comeback. A bill in Missouri would make it a FELONY to perform drag anywhere a minor could be present. Alabama is looking to expand their version of a 'Don't Say Gay' law that would ban teacher from talking about any LGBTQ+ issues - they also want to ban Pride flags! Meanwhile, Louisiana and Mississippi are trying to pass bills narrowly defining sex and gender. And that's just the start!
