Dear Friend,
I'm taking a quick break from the field and editing room to share a story and ask for some much-needed help.
You may have noticed the rapid pace of our investigative releases with my group, O’Keefe Media Group (OMG). From tracking down the funders behind the illegal immigration industry to exposing hypocrisy in Washington bureaucrats, I’ve had crews crisscrossing the nation, but the expense is becoming overwhelming.
Will you contribute to our March fundraising goal? With your help, I can cover our expenses and plan more investigations.
Now for a quick story that explains a bit about me and my purpose with OMG. You've seen my work for over a decade now, from exposing ACORN to my work with the organization I founded, Project Veritas. I'm proud of my impact, but this isn't about pride for me. It's about results, but they come at a price . . .
I recently gave a talk to a group of financial elites and intellectuals in Manhattan. Their politics were diverse.
I asked them one question: What’s your price?
Is it $10 million?
$20 million?
Is it $100 million?
What is your price when it comes to your values or purpose? What is “enough” to stop?
If the price of your purpose is not your life, then you are for sale.
If you are going to be a truth teller, then your price HAS TO BE your LIFE.
There is no other option and no other way to establish and hold onto integrity as a journalist. Your price has to be your life, and I've established my price over and over, as have those around me.
Since I started my career as an investigative journalist, I have been threatened repeatedly, and I know it's just a matter of time before a crazed individual crosses the line from threat to action.
I am prepared for that, but it doesn't slow me down. It drives me to do more while I’m here.
To do more, that’s where you come in with your support.
Because my price is my life, I rely on you and other Americans to keep OMG running. Advertisers do not influence us, and we certainly don't practice "brown envelope journalism" like many reporters worldwide.
We are committed -- with our lives -- to the truth.
OMG's production teams are reviewing undercover footage for our next release. While they work back at our headquarters, I have investigators in the field pursuing leads and tracking down sources of funding for the illegal immigrant industry.
We will keep going as long as we can afford to make payroll for our staff, plane tickets, and hotels.
But this month, we’re cutting it close. Will you chip in any amount you can afford to help OMG keep going? By the end of the month, we need to raise $48,400 to cover our ongoing expenses.
So please, help OMG keep presenting the raw, unfiltered truth without the influence or pressures from wealthy corporations or slimy politicians in Washington.
Donate as much as you can today.
As always, thank you for your time, attention, and ongoing support. Your loyalty keeps me going and inspires our entire team. I cannot express my gratitude enough.
In Truth,
James O’Keefe Founder and CEO O'Keefe Media Group
