Hi John,
I wrote to you last week about Unearthed, our investigations unit here at Greenpeace UK. I hope you found it insightful – and keep your eyes peeled for a new story coming soon.
Today, I want to explain how our investigative journalism is funded. Unlike a lot of mainstream media, our work is fully financed by people like you giving a few pounds each month to support our work.
John, will you help fund our environmental investigations with a monthly gift? Monthly donations help us expose large-scale injustices against the natural world – and hold the people in power accountable.

We don’t believe in paywalls, or hiding our work behind ads. Our stories are hugely important, and everyone deserves to hear them. But this means your support is even more crucial to keep powering our work.
So if you can, please support our work by setting up a monthly gift today. Your contribution could help pay for vital equipment we need to carry out our investigations:

For decades, newspaper circulation in this country has been falling dramatically [1]. In response, the mainstream news industry has made heavy cuts – and often doesn’t want to invest in high-risk or difficult investigative reporting. This can mean stories like ours – that speak truth to power – go untold.
That’s why we rely on people-power instead. We don’t have to work in anyone else’s interests – we just look at the facts, ask the real questions and share honest, meaningful stories that can help create change.
And lastly, I want to say thank you – for supporting Greenpeace, and in turn, helping the fight for a better, greener world.

P.S. Even a few pounds a month can make a huge difference. If you’re able to support our work, please set up a monthly gift today – it takes less than 2 minutes.
