MICHIGAN COALITION FOR RESPONSIBLE GUN OWNERS "Promoting safe use and ownership of firearms through education, litigation, and legislation." MONDAY E'NEWS   Senator Mike Green Update "Mike Green was a staunch ally during the most difficult times when we were trying to get “shall issue” concealed carry reform passed and signed into law. At a time when many legislators were wary of taking a public stand in our favor, he went above and beyond, sponsoring bills, attending fundraisers at shooting clubs, and otherwise making it clear that he supported the Second Amendment and Article I, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution. He has been a true friend to Michigan gun owners." -Bradley Foster, Past MCRGO President One year ago, on March 23, 2023, I began receiving calls from my siblings. My dad, Senator Mike Green, was involved in a farming incident with his cattle. While attempting to capture some photos of a newborn calf, one of the mama cows turned aggressive. Dad sustained serious injuries, including eight broken ribs. After he was rushed to the hospital, it was discovered that in addition to his immediate injuries, he had a cancerous mass in his lung and lymph nodes. Over the past year, Dad has exhibited incredible resilience in battling lung cancer. However, after successfully overcoming the initial tumor, the cancer has unfortunately spread to various parts of his body and his treatment options have been exhausted. Our family would deeply appreciate your thoughts and prayers for his strength and comfort. Should you wish to reach out, cards and letters can be sent to Mike Green 1500 E. Blackmore Rd. Mayville, MI 48744. Thank you for your understanding and support during this difficult journey. -State Representative Phil Green (R-Millington) UPCOMING EVENTS Northern Lower Peninsula Picnic with Michigan's Allied Gun Groups Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 11 AM to 1 PM Northland's Sportsmen's Club; 1592 Old Alba Road; Gaylord, MI 49735 No RSVP is required.
