We recently endorsed the entire Salt River Project (SRP) Clean Energy slate, a group of candidates who are committed to leading the way to a carbon-free future for the communities they are running to serve. The SRP is the largest public utility in the country in terms of raw power generation, and the election for its key leadership positions is just around the corner on April 2.

Unfortunately, the SRP elections are uniquely restrictive and archaic when it comes to determining who is allowed to vote. In short, only SRP ratepayers and landowners are eligible to vote for some of the most important leadership positions in the SRP, and the impact of a person's vote goes up the more acres they own.

As a result, this election typically sees extremely low turnout, which gives the fossil fuel industry and those who benefit from business as usual a huge advantage in this election. That's where you come in! 

Please join us this coming Tuesday, March 26 at 6pm PT. We're joining forces with Lead Locally and the SRP Clean Energy Team to call eligible voters to make sure they have everything they need to vote for the SRP Clean Energy Team before polls close on April 2.
