First, I sincerely hope that this note finds you and your family healthy, safe, and well.

Here at the Maine Dems, a lot of us are coping by diving into our work -- and I am so proud of this team. Just days after opening our new headquarters in South Portland, we shut the doors to all our offices, and are now working to figure out how we win campaigns while possibly never knocking on a door, without holding an in-person phone bank, or fundraising event, or county meeting. But our staff and volunteers have been resilient, creative, and determined. I am more sure than ever that we can win in November.

This national crisis has only steeled our resolve to help bring positive change in our country. It is more clear than ever that elections have consequences. We are in desperate need for strong, steady leadership, but instead we have a President who is more concerned with his press conference ratings and which Governors are being nice to him than with saving lives. It is appalling.
