John, millions of people suddenly find themselves out of work, unable to make ends meet. Many are depending on food banks to feed themselves and their families.
These food banks, already stretched thin under normal circumstances, are at risk of being unable to meet this unprecedented demand. They need our help.
That’s why on the last day of this quarter, instead of fundraising for campaigns and political ends, I’m asking you to join our fundraising drive for food banks.
The surge in demand is pushing many food banks beyond their capacity to purchase food for their service region. Smaller food banks are forced to bid against larger ones for limited supplies of food, and some don’t have the resources to get their fair share. That’s why they need our help.
If you can’t afford to give at this time, please don’t worry. If you can, our food banks need you now.
I’m proud of everyone that’s stepped up to respond to this request. Please, if you can, join your fellow Americans in donating to this urgent need.
Thank you,
Beto
