In response to the continued falsehoods being perpetuated by my opponent's campaign we issue the following statement:
”Our campaign wanted to make it clear that we were not present or in any way involved in yesterday's Fifth District GOP meeting.
Our understanding is that the committee simply had to force a non-compliant chair to reorganize, and properly issue a call in accordance with the rules of our party.
Potential delegates, can now participate in the Fifth District Convention and will no longer be disenfranchised.
The former chair can run again and continue to serve if chosen by the Republicans in her county.
It's regrettable that the McGuire campaign would blatantly lie and concoct a totally dishonest narrative to deflect from their failed attempts to take over the Louisa and Lynchburg committees and try and smear our campaign.
We are confident that these efforts, similar to the efforts of former Congressman, Denver Riggleman will be soundly rejected by 5th district Republican primary voters.”
