Starting with the 2027 model year, car manufacturers will be required to significantly ramp up sales of EVs and slash carbon emissions from gasoline-powered vehicles.

This initiative is poised to prevent over 7 billion tons of carbon pollution. That's four times the total carbon pollution from all transportation in 2021 alone.

Why does this matter? Transportation is the leading source of greenhouse gas emissions nationwide, making this new EPA standard a historic stride forward.

Let’s be clear: There’s still a lot of work to be done. Republican-led states and fossil fuel companies are gearing up to challenge the new rule in court, while also spending millions on advertising campaigns to stoke fear and turn public opinion against this life-saving policy.

The fossil fuel industry will stop at nothing to derail progress towards sustainability.

We need to show our support for the new EPA standards AND continue to demand more from our leaders.
