Yes, I have a confession to make. The world hurts so much right now, it’s difficult not to hurt with it. And that’s without mentioning rent, the cost of groceries, the homelessness on our streets and the feeling that we’re about to hit the climate iceberg at full speed. But in the midst of all this, I have become ever slightly more optimistic. And that comes from someone who is very much a self-proclaimed pessimist.

Why the optimism? Because more and more people are waking up to the reality that the status quo cannot hold any longer. Wherever I go across this country, I can hear the low rumbling of calls for change growing within people’s chests. Can you hear it too? The good news is: once it gets going, it can hardly stop.

The upcoming election will be one of change. And it’s up to all of us to ensure it is a positive one.

This country has all the resources needed to:

Build an additional 1.5 million off-the-market housing units by 2030 to reduce rent prices across the country and reduce homelessness;
Eliminate all federal income taxes on the 14 million Canadians who earn less than $40,000;
Improve affordability and reduce inequality by ensuring corporations pay their fair share;
Create a fund to ensure every Canadian child starts off in life with the same economic opportunities as everyone else;
Use proceeds from an oil and gas windfall tax to invest billions of dollars in a Green Economy and the infrastructure needed to keep our communities safe.

Yes, we have all the resources needed to accomplish this. It’s all a question of choice. And that’s the choice we will be presenting to Canadians.

To do so, we need top-notch communications and tools to shake the dust off our image. Which is why we need your help.

If every single one of you gave the party $5, that would support us in securing:

A top-notch marketing effort to ensure all Canadians know our story and what we stand for.
A part-time social media coordinator to help us spread the message.

If every supporter instead gave us $10, we could have, on top of the marketing:

A series of podcasts or short videos featuring Elizabeth, myself, and Green activists, artists and personalities ramping up the excitement ahead of 2025.

Now, for $15 each, we’d be in a position to spread our message on a repeated basis, on all channels, to attract new volunteers, donors and candidates!

Fifteen dollars may not sound like a lot, but if every single one of our members contributed, we’d raise over $200,000 by the end of March!
