John: I am the oldest of four sisters. If you have younger siblings or are a caretaker of any kind, you know what it means to fight for the people you care about.
Growing up, I was (and still am!) my sisters’ biggest cheerleader. If anyone messed with them, I had their backs. Through my role as a big sister, I learned that I loved being a leader and an advocate. That knowledge motivated me to become a journalist.
But for the past 12 years, instead of working for us, Congressman Scott Perry has been taking care of… himself, only being accountable to the Republican dark money and special interest groups. He even voted to throw out our votes and plotted to overturn our democracy. I’m running to fire Scott Perry and to show my neighbors in PA-10 that: “I’ve got your back.”
But I’m facing the biggest challenge of the year so far, John. At midnight on Sunday is the FEC’s end-of-quarter deadline. My team has crunched the numbers, and they’ve told me we need to raise $25,000 before then. Can you chip in $10 or $25 now to help me reach my goal?

When my father passed away in 2019, he had two requests: “Take care of your mother, and take care of each other.” My dad would be proud that I’m running for Congress— proud that I’m stepping up to take care of not just my mom and sisters, but my friends and neighbors in Central Pennsylvania. I will fight for working families left behind by the high cost of gas and groceries. I will fight for the Black and Brown communities where schools are underfunded. I will fight for women, whose right to bodily autonomy has been rolled back fifty years.
I’ll fight for you, John.
Help me beat Scott Perry and my end-of-quarter fundraising goal with a donation of any amount now →
Warmly,
Janelle
