Hey, can you spare a few minutes? I want to be honest with you for a moment.
My team and I had set an aggressive online fundraising goal for Q1 — the first financial quarter of this critical election year — and the resources we projected would have been enough to fight back against all that we expect Republicans will throw at us in the coming months.
Unfortunately, our numbers have taken a significant dip. I’m not surprised — in fact, I completely understand why this has happened.
To help our campaign adapt to this new reality, we have moved all of our organizing and fundraising efforts online until this crisis has passed. It was the right thing to do.
But that means we’re falling a bit short on our goals ahead of tonight’s FEC fundraising deadline. That’s why I’m turning to you:
If it makes sense for you financially, can you add a donation to our campaign before our filing deadline at midnight tonight? These are difficult times, so I only want you to pitch in if you can afford to at this time. Thank you.

I know there’s a lot of anxiety and fear out there about this unprecedented moment. My team feels it, too.
But I’m going to tell you the same thing I tell my team: Moments like this reinforce what’s at stake in this election. We must stiffen our backbones and roll up our sleeves because we need to get this right.
Thank you for anything you can give today. Take care of yourself.
— Tina
