News from Representative Pete Aguilar

Dear John,

This week, we are celebrating 14 years since the Affordable Care Act (ACA) became law and lowered the cost of health care for millions of Americans.

Since its passage, the number of Americans who are uninsured dropped from 16 percent to 7 percent of our population. Currently, close to two million Californians, including nearly 20,000 in our community, are insured through the ACA after a record-breaking year of enrollments.

ImageI recently celebrated the completion of SAC Health's brand new mobile health care unit, which will bring affordable health care to every corner of the Inland Empire.

I visited the California University of Science and Medicine.

Despite its popularity, the ACA continues to face challenges from MAGA extremists who want to repeal the legislation.

I remain committed to protecting this crucial program for all of the residents in our community. In 2022, I voted for the Inflation Reduction Act to reduce premiums and extend subsidies for families with ACA coverage.

Do you support expanding or repealing the Affordable Care Act?

I will continue advocating for the Inland Empire in Congress and fighting to protect our community’s access to affordable health insurance.

Thanks,
