I know you’ve gotten a lot of emails from my team this week, but we only email you because it’s so important.

Control of the Senate will undoubtedly run through Ohio this year. That means we have to build an undeniable, winning campaign – which starts with you.

Before I explain further, I have to ask: Can you donate $5 or more to fuel our efforts to re-elect Sherrod Brown here in Ohio and keep the Senate blue?

What’s involved in a winning campaign? We have to talk to as many voters as possible, in every corner of Ohio. And then of course there’s our get-out-the-vote efforts. We need to provide food, water, and educational resources for our committed volunteers so they can hit the road and knock on the doors of Ohioans.

And we can’t forget about Bernie Moreno’s war chest. Not only is he writing his campaign million-dollar checks, but national Republicans are pouring every penny they have into this race to take back the Senate.

What we raise now plays a huge role in how many voters we can reach ahead of the general election in November. We simply can’t afford to sit back and hope for the best on this one.

Especially not when political pundits everywhere are saying this race will come down to the smallest of margins.
