The problem: Our fundraising numbers have slowed this week while Mitch McConnell’s super PAC network is ramping up attacks on Democratic candidates — reserving $67 million in TV ads this week alone.
Why that matters: Momentum and money win elections. We have the momentum here, but if our fundraising falls short then Mitch McConnell’s network of GOP megadonors could overwhelm our candidates with negative TV and digital ads — just like they did in 2018.
The stakes: So, if we fall short of our goal today it could endanger all of our work to put the Senate in play and give McConnell the opening he needs to destroy Democratic candidates like Mark Kelly and Amy McGrath.
