Folks,
During my time in the Navy, there was one phrase that we always used when it was time to get things done:
Lead, follow, or get out of the way.
This phrase has been on my mind a lot lately.
While my Democratic colleagues and I work tirelessly to fund our government, protect reproductive freedom, and deliver aid to Ukraine before it’s too late — Speaker Mike Johnson and House Republicans are playing political games and taking orders from Donald Trump.
They’re failing the most basic test of leadership, and families at home and abroad are the ones paying the price.
Time is up. It's time for Republicans to lead, follow, or get out of the way.
I chose public service because just as I did in the Navy, I wanted to fight to defend the values of freedom and democracy that were instilled in me by my grandfather, who nearly died fighting the Nazis as a bomber pilot in World War II.
It’s chilling that my own colleagues — and my MAGA opponent — are choosing extremism over service, but it has only hardened my resolve to stay the course. And if there’s anything I learned in the Navy about leadership, it’s that you can’t act alone. You need a team behind you.
Folks, that’s why I’m hoping you’ll chip in $10 today. I’m going to need a strong, grassroots team behind me as I fight to defend my seat from MAGA extremists. [[link removed]]
