AFA is not standing still. Here's what we are doing!



DearJohn xxxxxx,



I'm happy to let you know that your prayers for and support of American Family Association are helping feed thousands of people, especially senior citizens and children.



My son, Walker Wildmon, felt God leading AFA to do something to help during this time when the nation seems unsure what to do because of COVID-19.



In a partnership with our friends at Eight Days of Hope, AFA helped pay a large portion of the food cost to launch "FeedTupelo," a local effort to provide at least 20,000 meals over a two-week period. As of right now, we have delivered over 10,000 meals.



"A lot of ministries are stuck not knowing what to do because of the unique issue we’re facing with limiting human to human contact, or social distancing,"Walker told the Daily Journal([link removed]). "I thought one way we could meet a need yet still be following all the guidelines that our leaders are putting in place is to just deliver meals for free to families all across Tupelo [Mississippi]."



As a result, dozens of AFA employees and others have been volunteering their time to safely reach out to those who need a helping hand by making and delivering sandwich lunches and hot dinner plates.



God has blessed AFA with the ability to make a difference in our community. I pray this will inspire you to do something similar in your community by leading or volunteering to help provide meals to your neighbors.
