John,
Thousands of monkeys are kept in tiny cages, poked and prodded, injected with drugs, and slathered with painful chemicals.
Governments not only allow it, they give tax subsidies to private animal breeding companies who rake in profits from this torture.
A $400 million monkey breeding facility is about to be built in the southern US -- the largest of its kind in the country. Locals are fiercely opposing the plan, and if animal lovers around the world stand with them, we can create a global scandal and get monkey breeding facilities banned for good.

The new “mini city” in Georgia would breed and house 30,000 long-tail macaques before they are shipped to universities and pharmaceutical companies that run medical experiments on them.
While scientific advances are important, animal testing isn't that effective -- more than 90% of drugs tested on animals, including primates, ultimately fail in human trials. Instead of green-lighting mega breeding facilities, governments should be investing in the alternatives to animal testing, many of which exist, but receive little attention.
Residents of the Georgia town have filed a lawsuit opposing the project, and now lawmakers are deciding how to proceed. Let’s help stop it in its tracks and send a signal to governments everywhere that people reject monkey breeding and testing and want a more humane approach to scientific experimentation.
Stop monkey torture -- shut down these facilities and invest in alternatives!
