Friend – a lot of people say they want to save the country.
But you and I know that will never happen unless we have the courage to hold leaders accountable and force change.
This $1.2 TRILLION “Minibus” bill Speaker Johnson brought to the floor is one of the worst betrayals I’ve seen.
Republican voters gave us the majority in Congress.
We promised we would secure the border and STOP the southern invasion. . .
We promised we would stop the Biden weaponization of government, and stop the DEI insanity. . .
We promised we would Defund AOCs Green New Deal.
Instead, the Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson handed the Speaker’s gavel to Chuck Schumer and railroaded the same voters who put him there.
That is unacceptable.
That’s why I filed a Motion to Vacate Speaker Johnson.
Speaker Johnson passed three CRs and now a two-part omnibus that gives NOTHING for Republicans to run on in 2024.
This is nothing personal against Mike Johnson. I believe he is a good man.
I want change – not chaos.
And that’s why this bill should have NEVER been brought to the floor.
I am standing up for the Republican voters across the country who are sick and tired of having our teeth knocked in because “Republicans” cave to the Democrats' demands and care more about being liked by their Democrat counterparts on CNN than they do about fighting for American values.
ENOUGH.
Republicans want us to keep our promises to secure the border and be fiscally responsible.
Now is the time to fight and hold strong – not cave to Chuck Schumer and the Democrats' every demand!
The GOP majority is the ONLY chamber we have to fight back against the total takeover by Democrats. We have the power of the purse!
But that means absolutely nothing if we kowtow to Chuck Schumer, Mitch McConnell, and Joe Biden.
I ran for office because Paul Ryan sold the Republican voters out and betrayed President Trump.
I cannot watch as Mike Johnson leads us down the same path.
Filing a Motion to Vacate is not something I want to be doing.
But when our Republican Speaker of the House caves to Democrats and puts America’s values through the paper shredder, I have no other choice to but stand firm.
As of now, the House of Representatives is in recess and we won’t be back for two weeks.
