As you know, Oregon’s 5th congressional district (OR-5) will be at the forefront of the national battle for the House of Representatives.

Our district spans the urban-rural divide, with only 7% of voters in the blue Democratic stronghold of Portland. So Democrats won’t win the district if we can’t beat Republican Lori Chavez-DeRemer outside of Portland.

I’m the only Democrat in this race who’s beaten Lori in Clackamas and Deschutes Counties, the purple counties outside of Portland. Together, those two counties make up 67% of the district.

In Deschutes, I not only beat Lori, I have out-performed every Democrat running for President since 1972. Being a rural Democrat who can bridge the urban-rural divide matters in OR-5.

That’s why I’m up over 30 points in multiple primary polls and why I’m the only Democrat being attacked by extremist Republicans — because the far-right knows I’m the ONLY Democrat who can flip this seat blue this November.
