Fellow Republicans,
Our primary votes have made it clear that Republicans are energized to elect strong leaders who will fight for us in Springfield and Washington! Primaries are unfortunately naturally divisive, however, now that the 2024 primary is over, it’s time for Republicans to unify and move forward to build a brighter future for Illinois.
Throughout this 2024 Presidential primary, the Illinois Republican Party has followed our policy of strict neutrality in open seat primaries. Now that the Illinois primary voters have spoken, we congratulate former President Trump, for winning the Illinois primary and the Republican nomination for President of the United States. Thank you to the thousands of Republicans who took part in this primary election for voting, volunteering, and making your voices heard.
Our thanks includes everyone who voted in the Illinois Republican primary and thereby participated in the electoral process including those who voted for and/or supported President Trump and other great Republicans like Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, Tim Scott, Vivek Ramaswamy, Doug Burgum, Chris Christie, Mike Pence, Larry Elder, Frances Suarez, Asa Hutchinson, Perry Johnson, Will Hurd, and others.
Now that the primary is finally over, I ask that all Republicans regardless of who you supported in our primary to help recruit, encourage and persuade all of our fellow Republicans and independents, to join forces with us and help re-elect President Trump in November. We need strong Republicans up and down the ballot to defeat the greatest threat to our great country since World War II, the radical leftists who have taken over the Democrat party, and now drive the Biden-Pritzker agenda of open borders, pro-criminal legislation, higher taxes, and inflationary non-defense government spending.
Protecting hard earned taxpayer dollars was heard loud and clear in Chicago as Mayor Brandon Johnson’s tax ballot referendum appears headed to defeat. This suggests that even
Chicacgo voters are rejecting the radical progressivism that has taken over the Democrats, which should enhance our opportunity to elect more Republicans in this state. Toward that end, Illinois Republicans will keep the focus on kitchen table issues, and other issues impacting families from Waukegan to Carbondale, including school choice and curriculum issues, which will help Republicans make strides in Illinois and send a message to JB Pritzker that Illinois is not the radical leftist progressive state he thinks it is. Onward to November!
