Legislative Update
Congratulations to Bo Zwiener on be recognized as a 2024 ExCEL Award at the University of Minnesota during the Class AA girls basketball state championship. Recipients are selected from across the state based on their involvement in sports and extracurriculars, leadership in their school community, and their academic achievement. Congratulations to all of these outstanding students!
There are a number of great events coming up this weekend. Tonight at 7:00 pm in the Grand Meadow Public School?s Media Center, archaeologist Tom Trow will share his latest research on the Chert Quarry near Grand Meadow. Discover the historical significance of this site and learn how tribal communities a thousand years ago utilized chert for tool-making. This event, hosted by the Mower County Historical Society, promises to be both educational and engaging. Don?t miss out on this opportunity to delve into the rich history of Mower County. The presentation is free and open to the public, and a special gift will be presented to the Grand Meadow Schools. Mark your calendars for Today at 7 PM ? 8:30 PM and be part of this unique experience!
Then on Sunday there are two great events happening in Lyle and in Dexter. The Lyle Lions Pancake Breakfast, hosted by the Lyle, MN Lions Club at the American Legion Post 105 is a public event where you can enjoy a breakfast of pancakes, french toast, and sausage, served with a beverage. Breakfast starts at 8:00 am!
Over in Dexter is the Spring Market from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. You can explore a variety of small businesses offering unique crafts and goods to kick off the spring season.
