Congressman Kim Secures $637,195 for Burlington County Emergency Operations Center in Government Funding Bill
Earlier today, Congressman Kim voted to pass the second half of the partial government funding package for Fiscal Year 2024. He voted to pass the first half earlier this month, securing over $11 million for 14 local community projects.
In today’s package, Congressman Kim was able to secure the 15th and final Community Project Funding request for the Burlington County Emergency Operations Center. The funding will have a massive impact for first responders in Burlington County; upgrading important technology so our dispatchers are able to help send first responders to people across Burlington County when they need help.

Congressman Kim Applauds Step to Expand Special Visas to Afghan Allies
This week, Congressman Kim responded to news that the U.S. will lift the Afghan visa limit in the Congressional funding bill:
“This is a long-overdue step to stand by Afghan allies who served alongside our servicemembers for nearly 20 years. In my work in Afghanistan, I saw the risks they and their families took. Giving them this path is the right thing to do to return the help they bravely gave us.”
Congressman Andy Kim’s Statement on the Need for Immediate and Significant Action to Address the Imminent Famine and Humanitarian Catastrophe in Gaza
"Over the course of my career at USAID, State Dept, and the National Security Council, I’ve worked on numerous humanitarian crisis response efforts and I saw the horrible tragedy of famines around the world. Right now countless people in Gaza are starving and experiencing extreme famine-like conditions, and at this point a full on famine is essentially inevitable. The report that came out this week about famine conditions in Gaza was one of the most alarming reports I’ve ever seen in my career in foreign policy and I’ve spent significant time this week talking to experts to understand the depth of the crisis. The international community cannot carry on and wait until there is an official famine declaration to change course and fundamentally surge humanitarian action. Diplomatic teams are back at the table this week to discuss a bilateral ceasefire to end the violence, release hostages, and surge humanitarian assistance. There needs to be immediate agreement for a permanent end so there can be safe and free access for humanitarian workers to surge supplies as rapidly as possible. A crisis of this magnitude hurts security and stability for everyone. A famine cannot be just turned off and tragically many will suffer, but strong and urgent action now can still save a tremendous number of lives."
Congressman Kim Helps Secure $100,000 in Grant Funding for Local Farm in Millstone
This week, Congressman Kim announced that Two River Gourmet Mushrooms was selected to receive $100,000 in grant funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Organic Marketing Development Grant program to help the farm keep up with increasing market demand for specialty mushrooms.
The funding will help the farm get specialized equipment to help with the production, processing infrastructure, and distribution, and help them deliver their organic, locally grown mushrooms to restaurants, supermarkets, and other consumers.
We are proud to be able to bring federal dollars directly back such a unique business that is invaluable to our local economy and our communities as a whole. Learn more about the grants assistance Congressman Kim’s office can provide on our website.
