KANSAS IS TRUMP COUNTRY!       DEFENDING KANSAS SAVING AMERICA   DONATE VOLUNTEER The Friday File A Weekly Publication   Trump Easily Wins Kansas Republican Presidential Preference Primary   Former President Donald Trump easily secured victory in the Kansas GOP presidential primary, garnering over 75% of the votes cast. Trump has secured all 39 Republican delegates in the winner-take-all contest. Having already clinched enough delegates last week to ensure his position as the presumptive Republican nominee, Trump's dominance remains unchallenged in Kansas and across America. As a conservative stronghold, Kansas is anticipated to solidly back Trump in the forthcoming general election in November. With this latest triumph, Trump continues to assert his influence within the Republican Party, setting the stage for a contentious battle for the presidency as he seeks a return to the White House to become the 47th President of the United States of America. Kansas is Trump Country!     Kansas Worker Compensation Reform Bill Must Pass This Year The Kansas House of Representatives stands at a pivotal juncture regarding a comprehensive Worker‘s Compensation reform bill that passed the Senate with a 40-0 vote. This legislation is the product of bipartisan research and negotiations led by The Kansas Chamber of Commerce and included: SHRM, KSIA, the Director of Kansas Workers Compensation, as well as other business and labor representatives. Eight lawyers representing business and labor, with combined experience of ovrr 300 years of workers' compensation practice history, participated in the negotiations. The result is a much-needed Worker’s Compensation reform bill. The main elements of the compromise include raising caps on death and permanent total disability claims, insuring that the most severely injured Kansas workers are covered. As Kansas has been the 50th lowest state for these benefits, and well below the next lowest, severely injured Kansans needed this revision. The ability to receive future medical benefits after recovery in all cases where the injured worker did not have surgery or other invasive treatment was basically eliminated. This provision will save employers significant money as medical expenses are the largest expense in the insurance claims system. Other provisions include reducing employees attorney’s fees on post award medical issues, that are paid by business, and other procedural changes, stand to reduce business costs, as well. In short, more benefits will go to severely injured workers and less to those only marginally injured. Additionally, this legislation avoids our ultra-Liberal courts from setting arbitrary and possibly astronomical “limits”. This proactive measure garners support from diverse quarters, including the Kansas Republican Party, the Kansas Chamber of Commerce, SHRM, KSIA, and the Kansas Attorney General who has expressed the opinion these changes will fix some potentially unconstitutional components of the current Kansas Work Comp act. Multiple labor unions including leadership and rank-and-file members, insurance carriers, and the majority of Kansas workers support these reforms. Kansas can foster a fairer, more sustainable workers compensation system and safeguarding the interests of all stakeholders while being mindful of costs and protect the integrity of the insurance framework. I call on the Kansas House of Representatives to move this bill above the line for an up or down vote. This is not a controversial bill. It was the product of long negotiations where all stakeholders participated. Also, it has already passed the Kansas Senate 40-0, in a display of uncommon unity and bipartisanship. The time is ripe for the legislature to seize this opportunity and enact meaningful reforms that ensures accountability and efficiency in worker compensation claims across the state and into the future. Please contact your Kansas State Representative and encourage them to move this bill forward.     Kansas Young Republicans Choose New Leadership by Alex Dryer A New Era for Kansas Young Republicans As the newly elected Chairman of the Kansas Young Republicans, I am thrilled to embark on this journey of revitalization and growth alongside a dedicated team of young leaders. The recent leadership election marks a turning point for our organization, and I am honored to have the opportunity to lead us into a new era of growth, inclusivity and empowerment. Our mission is clear: to recruit, train, and elect young Republicans who are passionate about shaping the future of our state and our nation. Under my leadership, we are committed to expanding our reach and ensuring that every young Republican has the resources and support they need to succeed. One of our most exciting developments is the chartering of the Kaw Valley Young Republicans—a new chapter that embodies our commitment to diversity and representation. With 75% female membership, Kaw Valley boasts one of the highest percentage of female Young Republican members in the Midwest region. This achievement is not only a source of pride for our organization but also a reminder of the importance of amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities within our party. As Chairman, I recognize the significance of this milestone and the work that lies ahead. We must continue to prioritize the recruitment and empowerment of young Republicans from all backgrounds, ensuring that our party reflects the rich diversity of our state. That means reaching out to historically underrepresented communities, providing training and support for aspiring leaders, and championing the candidacies of young Republicans in elections at every level. I am committed to leading with integrity, empathy, and a steadfast dedication to our shared values. Together, we will build a Republican Party that is inclusive, forward-thinking, and focused on creating opportunities for all. I am excited to roll up my sleeves and get to work alongside my fellow young Republicans as we embark on this journey together. The future is bright, and I am confident that, together, we can achieve great things for Kansas and beyond. Trump     Sharice Davids Votes Against Protecting Your Family in Mayorkas Impeachment Sharice Davids, KS CD-3, twice last week voted “no” on the impeachment of failed Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Leading up to and following the first impeachment vote, House Speaker Mike Johnson declined to vote on a bill sent by the U.S. Senate for military aid to Ukraine, citing the absence of provisions for U.S. border security. The political maneuvering forced a bright light on the importance of the U.S./Mexico border and drew criticism from Democratic representative Davids, who accused politicians of playing games. With Republicans eyeing the upcoming elections, the focus on border issues will intensify. A decrease in illegal crossings this January has been noted due to Texas Governor Abbott blocking the border in that state with the help of many other states from across the Union. Assistance of Kansas National Guard on this important matter did not come from Kansas as ultra-liberal and divisive Kansas Governor Laura Kelly ignored the majority of Kansans and sat silent taking no action whatsoever. The impeachment, based on allegations of incompetence, passed narrowly. Senate support for conviction remains uncertain but Kansans encourage their U.S. Senators to support the impeachment of Mayorkas. Border security consistently ranks high on the overall concerns of Kansans and Americans. U.S. Border Security must be a priority shown by our elected officials to maintain the support of Kansas Republicans. In Kansas' 3rd Congressional District, immigration and border security are of critical importance and related issues resonate across political divides. As the campaign unfolds, the border debate will intersect with broader political narratives, shaping the electoral landscape in Kansas CD-3 and beyond. Republicans in CD-3 are encouraged to look into their current member of Congress’s voting record and discover for themselves that we have our very own Nancy Pelosi - right here in Kansas.     Numinar Data Analytics World-Class Platform Offered Free to Kansas Republican Candidates and Campaigns     The Kansas Republican Party has partnered with the amazing folks at Numinar to - again - provide access to the Numinar Data Analytics Platform at no cost to registered Kansas Republicans who simply ask for access. CLICK HERE Send a strong and bold message to ultra-liberal Kansas Governor Laura Kelly to support Texas’ efforts to secure our southern border. Kansas should be supporting the state of Texas’ efforts to secure our southern border since Joe Biden & Company have abdicated their constitutional responsibility. There is nothing controversial about securing and defending our border, but Laura Kelly continues doddering instead of engaging as most Kansans’ would prefer. Every State is a Border State Laura Kelly claims to be “middle of the road,” but that statement doesn't apply to “middle of the border”. Governor Kelly’s silence on this issue is both stunning and shameful. So why is ultra-liberal Kansas Governor Kelly so quiet? That's an excellent question.
