Registration is highly encouraged. Classes will only run with a minimum of 10 registered participants. By registering, you commit to attending class on-time and doing any preliminary required reading ahead of class. All required readings will be distributed to registrants in advance. Register today to ensure your place in class.

Topics include:

April 4 - Labor 101: Striking for the Public Good

Come learn about the significance of public sector strikes in the US Labor Movement, hear from educators and scientists on key lessons from their recent strikes, and get connected to a variety of workplace organizing opportunities in the Sacramento area.

April 11 - Fundamentals of Marx

No one would dispute that the work of Karl Marx lies behind many of the theories and strategies of today's socialist movement. Yet many have not looked beyond a cursory understanding of what Marx stood for. Come deepen your understanding of one of the principle founders of socialism.

April 18 - The Radical Archive

Preserving and maintaining our past revolutionary struggles and achievements is vital to building our contemporary movement. Billy X of the Black Panther Party maintains the Its About Time Black Panther archive and will share his experience and knowledge about the importance of preserving and sharing the past.

April 25 - Building Electoral Power

The Democratic Socialists of America have achieved many successes at the ballot box and have contributed greatly to putting socialism on the public agenda through the ballot box. Come to learn about and discuss the electoral strategies of Sacramento DSA and how you can get involved in getting socialists into public office.

Register today to attend one or all of the classes.
