*Representative Anne Neu Brindley Announces Retirement After Four Terms*

SAINT PAUL ? Representative Anne Neu Brindley (R-North Branch) announced that she will be retiring from public office at the end of her current term, which expires in January. Neu Brindley was first elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in a special election in 2017 and is serving her fourth term.

?It has been an absolute honor to represent my friends and neighbors at the State Capitol these last seven years,? said Neu Brindley. ?It has been a privilege to be your voice in St. Paul and an advocate for our community. I look forward to continuing my service to District 28B through the end of my legislative term where I will fight every day to make our state more affordable for families, and government a better steward of your tax dollars.?

Neu Brindley fought for legislation to support the Chisago County community. In 2018, she authored ?Little Alan?s Law? in memory of Alan Geisenkoetter Jr, passing with unanimous support. She also prioritized Highway 8 improvements and secured the remaining funding required to complete the project in 2023.

?I am proud of the work I have done, together with District 28B residents, to enact meaningful changes in our state,? continued Neu Brindley. ?Working with our community to pass Little Alan?s Law to close the loophole that let people keep their snowmobile and ATV driving privileges, even if they had several DUIs in other vehicles, was a highlight of my time as a State Representative. I will always cherish the memories of working with my neighbors, stakeholders, and policymakers to pass meaningful legislation, like Little Alan?s Law, to support all Minnesotans.?

Throughout her time at the legislature, Neu Brindley served in a variety of leadership roles, including serving as Deputy Minority Leader from 2019-2022. During the 2022-2023 legislative session, she served as the Republican Lead on the Human Services Finance Committee.

Neu Brindley lives in North Branch with her husband and children.
