This year, I was able to bring back $26 million to Maine’s second district through community project funding requests - more than any other Democrat in the House.
This money will go directly towards community building projects and new jobs. That includes over $13 million for wastewater infrastructure projects, $6 million to rebuild our roads and bridges, nearly $2 million for public safety, and $1.8 million for education.
I believe this is what a member of Congress should be focused on: bringing back real results for their constituents and helping create good-paying jobs with benefits. I’m glad that despite a largely unproductive Congress, we’re still investing in Maine.
