Happy Women's History Month! As we honor the extraordinary contributions of women throughout history, we're excited to share a special highlight from our Women's History Month celebration: our blog “Authors Making a Difference”.

This interview features inspiring stories from women and gender-expansive authors, such as Lamya H (she/they), Sarah Cypher (she/her), and Becky Albertalli (she/her), showcasing their perspectives and uplifting narratives. Celebrate Their Voices
At The Trevor Project, Women's History Month is more than just a time of reflection; it's a reminder of our commitment to empowering LGBTQ+ young people to boldly pursue their dreams. Here are some impactful ways you can support and empower the women in your life:

1. Advocate for gender-sensitive and inclusive environments for LGBTQ+ young people.
Elevate LGBTQ+ voices by actively creating spaces for them. Using preferred names and pronouns and utilizing resources like our "Guide to Being an Ally to Transgender and Nonbinary Young People", are crucial steps toward building supportive communities.

2. Embrace gender-inclusive language.
Picture a world free of gender bias, stereotypes, and discrimination, where diversity is celebrated and honored. A simple way to create this world: adopting gender-neutral language (such as "folks," "everyone," or "all") in group settings. Explore our guide, "Understanding Gender Identities", to deepen your understanding of gender identity.

3. Support our advocacy efforts.

Through our wide-ranging support network, including counseling services and community resources, we strive to create a sanctuary where LGBTQ+ young people can flourish. Together, let's celebrate the trailblazers of the past while paving the way for a future where diversity is celebrated, voices are amplified, and inclusivity is the rule, not the exception.
