Hi John,

As our families stay home, as our schools will now remain closed, there is growing concern for children and families at risk in our community.

With the stress on families, there is a realistic concern that we may see a rise in abuse and domestic violence.

If you are able to donate at this time, I urge you to prioritize your contributions to local organizations working to continue to support families.

We have listed some below.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley - Several clubs are open to support our healthcare, first responder and essential worker families. They are also working with school districts to ensure vulnerable youth receive emotional and academic support.

Big Brothers, Big Sisters - They continue to provide meetings with Bigs via virtual meetups. As a former Big Sister, I know the power of this program on young lives in need.

Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence - Sexual and domestic violence service organizations around the state are continuing to provide services, but under increasingly difficult circumstances. Immediate needs include paper products, sanitizing products, diapers and baby wipes. Monetary donations assist in offsetting increased costs associated with this pandemic.

Arizona Community Foundation has also created the Arizona COVID-19 Community Response Fund to support a number of Arizona non-profits helping our families during this time.

Please let me know if we can provide any additional information or if you need any help during this time.

If you know of an organization that needs support, let us know and we'll continue to share via email as well as in our new ConnectAz community.

Stay safe,

Anita
