Nancy Pelosi announced that Democrats will soon begin investigating President Trump over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic. Additionally, the Speaker blamed our President for the deaths of Americans.
Ironically, the early and decisive action undertaken by President Trump to protect American lives - closing travel between the U.S. and China in January - was performed during the height of the Democrats unwarranted effort to remove our President from office.
Joe Biden and others referred to President Trump’s China travel ban as racist and said his actions were unnecessary. Again, it’s ironic that at the same time Pelosi and the Democrats were focused on politically persecuting our President, rather than helping construct policies to defend the American people, Donald J. Trump was literally saving lives.
Especially during this time of national crisis, this type of political carping needs to stop. You have my commitment that I will keep working in bipartisan fashion to defend America and protect the lives and interests of southern Minnesotans.
