Oklahoma,

Six months into the fiscal year, Congress is now finally considering a package to complete the remaining six government funding bills. While it's important to prevent a harmful and costly government shutdown, to say I'm frustrated by the funding process is an understatement. We must get back to funding the government through regular order and doing the work of the American people. If this email was forwarded to you, you can subscribe to my weekly e-newsletter here.

Joe Biden loves to pick winners and losers in our economy by punishing entrepreneurs and job creators with crippling regulation.

This week, Joe Biden's radical Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized a new rule as part of their extreme effort to ban all gas-powered cars. This new regulation on tailpipe emissions will slash the production of new gas vehicles and effectively force a national electric vehicle (EV) mandate. This is absurd. The American people should have the freedom to decide what car they want to drive without government interference.

I've introduced a bill called the Preserving Choice in Vehicle Purchases Act to reject Biden's reckless EV mandate, protect consumer choice, and safeguard free market competition. Learn more about the bill HERE. As your Senator, I'll do everything I can to protect your God-given freedoms and push back against Joe Biden's burdensome federal overreach.

Agriculture is who we are in Oklahoma. Our state proudly produces more than $7 billion worth of livestock and crops each year. During this National Agriculture Week, we took the time to thank our Oklahoma farmers and ranchers for their ongoing work to feed, fuel, and clothe our communities.

Team Mullin had the honor of participating in the Oklahoma Youth Expo (OYE) this week and learning from our future leaders. Every year, OYE brings together more than 7,000 4-H and FFA members to exhibit their projects and compete for the chance to earn the title of Grand Champion. We were blown away with their knowledge and skill, and Team Mullin was grateful for the chance to support the next generation of ag leadership.

One year ago this week, President Donald J. Trump returned to Tulsa to cheer on the athletes competing in the 2023 NCAA Wrestling Championship at the BOK Center. College athletes work tirelessly to master their sport, and one year later, we remember what a joy it was to have President Trump here to celebrate their hard-earned success.

Oklahoma lost a pioneer on Monday. Christie and I were saddened to learn that renowned General Tom Stafford (USAF, ret.) has passed away.

A Weatherford native, General Stafford graduated from Weatherford High School and went on to attend the U.S. Naval Academy. He became a pilot, flight leader, and flight test maintenance officer before being selected for both the Gemini and Apollo missions in 1962. He was a commander on the 1969 Apollo X mission, and is still recognized for the all-time highest reentry speed of any manned spacecraft.

Amazingly, General Stafford remains the first and only active General to fly in space. General Stafford dedicated his life in service to our country, and his proud legacy will never be forgotten. I was honored to meet with him in Washington just last year.
