FRIDAY, 3/22/2024.Hi John, it’s Ambassador John Bolton with this week’s newsletter. Over the past several Presidential Administrations, I’ve seen the damage and chaos created by weak leaders who fail to understand the importance of America’s role on the world stage.
Between Donald Trump’s dangerous threats to withdraw from NATO, Biden’s insistence on abandoning Israel while calling for a ceasefire, and an endless number of other missteps - the two options for leadership in 2024 are embarrassing.
While I refuse to put my support behind either of the major party candidates for President, I need to know where you stand:

Driving the Week:I wrote an article for the NY Post on Biden’s abysmal approach to the Israel-Palestine conflict, which is only causing more damage.

Critical Context: President Biden’s strategy in the Middle East completely ignores the Iranians. Instead, he focuses on the symptoms rather than the cause. It’s his biggest mistake in the region.
The Final Word: There is only one word for Biden’s policy towards Israel: Incoherent. He should return to square one and support Israel’s legitimate right to self-defense.

Critical Context: Trump doubled down on calling for Rep. Liz Cheney to be prosecuted, spreading lies to do what he normally does - try to make himself look good. Representative Cheney is a true patriot who has dutifully served her country.
My Final Word: Donald Trump should spend less time attacking those who disagree with him and more time bolstering his legal defense.
