The day after Angus left office as Maine’s governor, he and Mary piled the kids into an RV and spent the next six months on the open road, traveling from Maine to Florida to the Pacific Northwest and back again.
It was a big change: instead of stressing about getting his bills through the legislature, he was worrying about whether the next RV park had a dump station!
Nine years later, when Angus announced his run as an Independent for the U.S. Senate, he thought back to all the hardworking and hopeful Americans his family had met on their cross-country trip: people who had reminded him exactly why he ran for office the first time. People from all walks of life who deserved to have their stories lifted up in the halls of Congress.
Nowadays, Angus isn’t using the RV to trek across the country — instead, he spends most of his time traveling around the best state he found on his travels: Maine. The state that always calls him back home.
John, if you’ve met Angus in person, then you know his heart was made for this work. Behind his quiet and calm demeanor, or what he calls “eloquent listening,” is a strong leader who loves our state and our people more than anything.
When I go with Angus to events, I can see the joy in his eyes when folks start sharing their stories. And then back at the office, he starts repeating them and talking about what can be done to make their lives a bit easier! That’s what makes me so proud to be Angus’ campaign manager and constituent.
John, if you’re also proud to call Angus your U.S. Senator, would you be able to do us a favor and chip in $ or $ before March 31? Angus is up for re-election this November and we have a goal of raising $10K online before our first FEC End-of-Quarter Fundraising Deadline to power our campaign to victory! [[link removed]]

It may seem like a long road to November, but the days are moving by fast (like mile markers) and we could use your support to ensure we have the resources to win and keep Angus doing what he does best.
In gratitude,
Gaetan
