John, the general election is underway, and there’s a lot at stake. 

MAGA extremists are emboldened by a radical Supreme Court, and Democrats up and down the ballot are fighting to get those extremists out of our doctor’s offices and out of our bedrooms. 

As a gay woman, this is personal. I am TIRED of men like Ted Cruz and Donald Trump bragging about snatching our rights away. Women and LGBTQ folks want their freedoms back. And you can bet we’re going to show up in November and let the GOP know it. 

I’m also tired of an ineffective Congress. Issues like gun violence, immigration, and healthcare are constantly debated, but never addressed. Democrats and President Biden have offered bipartisan bills to take on these problems, but the GOP keeps blocking them. In order to get anything done, Democrats MUST take back the House - and to do that, we have to keep this seat blue. 

I’m ready to go to D.C. and face these issues head on. If you stand with me, will you add your name now?

I’m proud to be the first woman to win the Democratic nomination for this seat - and when I win in November, I’ll be proud to be the first openly gay member of Congress from Texas, and from the South in general.
