Maryland is home to many female trailblazers,
Brooke Lierman

Dear Friend,

Maryland is home to many female trailblazers, from Harriet Tubman to Senator Barbara Mikulski. Just last year, we made history as Brooke was sworn in as the first female Comptroller, and as the first woman ever elected independently to statewide state office in Maryland.

Last night, Brooke joined other women glass-ceiling breakers when she was inducted into the Maryland Women's Hall of Fame. This honor was established in 1985 by the Maryland Commission for Women and the Women Legislators of Maryland, and seeks to recognize women who have made significant contributions to the state of Maryland, and have worked to advance the status of women. Brooke joins a group of women who have inspired Marylanders with their persistence, leadership, and resolve. Along with Brooke, other inductees included Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Speaker Adrienne Jones, Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller, and Secretary of State Susan Lee.

As Comptroller, Brooke continues to forge a new path that uplifts women while honoring the struggle and strength of those that came before her. As she reminds us always - we all do better when women do better! Thank you for your support of Brooke - she knows she would not be here without you!

Thank you for your continued support. Onwards!

-Team Lierman
