Josh Clark Announces Run for GA State Senate
For Immediate Release: March 22, 2024

FLOWERY BRANCH, GA: Former State Representative and 2022 U.S. Senate Candidate Josh Clark qualified on March 8, 2024, to run for Georgia State Senate District 49 encompassing Hall County. Incumbent Senator Shelly Echols, despite announcing her intent to run for re-election, pulled a last-minute maneuver attempting to put her husband on the ballot unopposed. Josh was tipped off and made it to Atlanta to qualify to run with just four minutes remaining before the cut-off.

Josh Clark is an experienced legislator, business owner, and entrepreneur. He has a proven track record of standing up for conservative values and uniting people in the cause of faith, family, and freedom.

“I am excited to announce my run for State Senate,” Josh Clark said. “With so much at stake for our state and nation, my wife Chelsey and I have been praying a lot about where I should engage in the fight to preserve our freedom and liberty. This open Senate seat has been an answer to those prayers and where I believe I can best serve. Our nation faces incredible challenges, and Georgia is right in the middle of them. If we are going to ‘secure the blessings of Liberty’ that our founders envisioned and once again be the Shining City on a Hill, we must start with the local levels — and I mean really local!”

Clark continued: “We must be a self-governed people. Our civil government must champion strong and independent families. We must be united around the principles that made our nation great — not the divisive, radical agenda that’s being shoved down our throats today. Georgia must be a strong example and lead the way by moving forward toward Liberty.”

“Our government is an electoral process, not a selection by those in power. This seat belongs to We the People and the people have the right to decide who will represent them," Clark concluded. “I look forward engaging with the great people who live in Hall County and being interviewed for the job. I will hold fast to the principles of faith, family, and freedom that we hold dear. With the support of my fellow Hall County residents, I look forward to hopefully serving as the next State Senator for the 49th. I promise to cast a vision and craft policies that make our families, our Northeast Georgia community, and our America strong and free again.”

Josh looks forward to giving back to the county he calls home. Josh and Chelsey’s oldest, Stephen Clark, graduated from West Hall High School in 2022. Five of their children attend Lanier Christian Academy, where their 2nd oldest will graduate this year. Josh has coached volleyball, football, cross country, and most recently his daughter’s basketball team. They are actively involved at Christ Place Church, formerly known as Blackshear Church.
