Two districts in Michigan have two general election dates this year, John, with a critically overlooked one coming up next month.
The Michigan state House of Representatives is currently tied, 54-54. Two special elections happen on April 16th to fill the two vacant seats. Whichever side wins both will control the state house.
Michigan has made HUGE progress the last few years defending voting rights and expanding ballot access. That will all change if opponents of voting rights win these two elections and take back control of the Michigan House. They'll use that power to stymie the governor and roadblock any further progress on voting and our democracy.
