Yesterday, Justin Trudeau bragged that his government made sure over the past several years to have money set aside for a rainy day.

This is complete BS.

The Liberals actually did THE EXACT OPPOSITE.

They had record spending increases.

The economy was growing and yet they even managed to break their promise of small deficits and a quick return to balanced budgets.

Now, it’s pouring outside.

I agree we must help workers and businesses stay afloat during the coronavirus crisis.

But we would have been in a much better situation to face this crisis if we had eliminated the deficit and prepared for the next recession, as I have been saying for years.

When the crisis is over, we will need bold policies to bring back sound money and sound finances to our country.

Only the People’s Party has the courage to address this challenge.
