The new Trump-led Republican National Committee just made its first major campaign decision—and it's terrible news for our democracy.

The RNC, under new co-chair Lara Trump, is pouring its money into legal challenges against voters and voting systems, and they've hired an election denier to lead the charge.¹

That's right: The RNC is going to prioritize legal attacks on voting rights in order to win this election for Donald Trump and the rest of his MAGA contingent. Voter suppression will have multimillion-dollar backing from the RNC.

And the hard reality is that these efforts have already seen success. The New York Times found that voter suppression efforts in Georgia, Michigan, and Nevada targeting low-income, young, and immigrant voters have purged thousands of people from the rolls.²

In other words, MoveOn's voter turnout program is more important than ever. Fortunately, we have a researched, highly effective method of turning out voters that is as much as five times more effective than traditional tactics like television ads and robocalls!

The RNC has put a team in place specifically to stop people from voting. At the helm is Christina Bobb, a former OAN personality who raised $600,000 to "audit" Arizona's election and author of the book Stealing Your Vote: The Inside Story of the 2020 Election and What It Means for 2024.³ She has never once stopped repeating the lie that the 2020 election was stolen.

Nothing screams "We'll never win this election fairly" more than giving an election denier a multimillion-dollar budget to stop voters from exercising their constitutional right.

But this means that there will be a blizzard of legal challenges against fair elections up and down the ballot, nationwide, from now until November. MoveOn isn't going to let this obvious attempt to manipulate our elections stand. We're going to lead a massive voter turnout to overcome these underhanded suppression tactics.

We have to fight these voter suppression efforts on all fronts. But as a grassroots organization, our resources come from people like you donating what you can to make our work a reality.

Make no mistake: These voter purges are an effort to steal the presidency. We cannot let Trump—a dangerous demagogue who has just vowed that there will be a "bloodbath for the country" if he's not reelected—back in the White House.⁴

That's why we're investing $32 million into our best-ever get-out-the-vote program (and with 25 years of successful voter turnout in our history, that's saying something!).

We've honed in on 1.5 million surge voters in battleground states—those who became active for the first time, or more active, after the 2016 election but need a bit of a push to get to the polls this year. We need to focus especially on those who didn't vote recently, or may have moved, because they are most at risk to be included in a purge.

Once we have these voters engaged, we need to deploy our focused and extremely effective get-out-the-vote method: "vote tripling." Vote tripling is organizing voters to reach out to three of their friends or family, talk to them about the issues at stake, help them make a plan to vote, make sure they're registered, and make sure they vote. Vote tripling is five times more effective than other methods, and we need to get as many people on board as possible.
