Last week, I supported the economic relief package President Trump signed.
I don’t like these big spending bills, but small business and families need immediate relief after government-mandated orders. I have spent the last weeks calling small business owners, many with tears in their eyes, who are afraid they may have to close or lay off employees.
North Carolina families need help now.
Unfortunately, Speaker Pelosi and her allies held up emergency aid for small businesses to get her liberal priorities into the relief bill, totally unrelated to economic relief. Priorities like:
- Union rights
- Corporate diversity standards
- Mandatory early voting
She is attacking President Trump on cable TV even now to score political points.
