Gun violence deaths have hit record highs in consecutive years and now, gun violence is the leading cause of death for children in the United States. And there is one link between some of the deadliest mass shootings in the US: In Uvalde, Highland Park, Buffalo, Aurora, Parkland, Orlando, Las Vegas, Newtown, the gunman used an AR-15 style weapon. Meanwhile, the ban on these deadly weapons has not been reinstated for nearly 20 years.
After the tragedy in Uvalde, Steve Kerr asked the nation, “When are we going to do something?” and the response we need from our lawmakers is, “right now.”
