The Oregon March for Life is coming up fast!

Statewide pro-life events like the Oregon March for Life [[link removed]] have a special importance today.

Just two years ago, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, returning the responsibility to enact legislation limiting abortion to our elected officials rather than an unelected Supreme Court. That means the abortion issue has become a local one, to be worked out by pro-life voters like you.

Here at Oregon Right to Life, we’ve decided to change the date of our annual March for Life to reflect that local emphasis.

Rather than hosting it in January to mark the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we’re holding the 2024 Oregon March for Life on May 18, during the month our state first legalized abortion in 1969, years before Roe was decided.

Today, Oregon has no laws limiting abortion or protecting unborn babies. There aren’t even any laws explicitly protecting survivors of failed abortions, leaving them vulnerable to medical neglect [[link removed]].

That’s what makes the Oregon March for Life so important – perhaps more important than it’s ever been!
