Hey John, it’s Josh.

I know everyone is worried about the new poll showing me down by 4 points against my Republican opponent. I wanted to send you a personal note to share my thoughts.

When I first saw these numbers, I will admit that I was very discouraged. We’re working our hearts out to help our community, but clearly voters aren’t hearing about it. They are only hearing the negative attacks from the National GOP groups.

But I want to make sure we’re staying grounded here. We still have time to turn this around. We need to stay focused on what matters - doing good work and then having the funds to make sure voters know about it. We know that if voters hear our message we win - but if they only see the national GOP attack ads, we lose. So, let’s make sure they hear from us!

I’m not going to let this get me down and you shouldn’t either. It’s just another reminder of how competitive our race is going to be in November. Let’s use this as the motivation we need to keep this seat blue!
