Right now, we must fight for health care workers to have everything they need. After we have weathered this storm, we must ensure that our NHS is never pushed to the brink again.

In February, we asked all the Labour leadership and deputy leadership candidates to commit to public ownership in ten key sectors. Every single candidate signed the pledge committing “to end NHS privatisation and reinstate the NHS on the basis of its founding principles”!
It’s clearer than ever that this must go beyond a promise. Commitment to full public ownership of our health care service must be at the heart of a better vision for the future. This is why we have asked each candidate to sign 4 further pledges, in response to Covid-19 and beyond:
