Working Families Party

John,

In a radio interview this week, Donald Trump signaled that he would support a nationwide ban on abortion.1

Over 170 House Republicans — including Speaker Mike Johnson — doubled down yesterday by releasing a budget proposal that would legislate that life begins at conception.2

And it’s not just abortion rights that are on the ballot this November. Everywhere you look, Republicans are chipping away at our reproductive rights.

Will you rush a contribution of $10, or whatever you can afford, to help us defend reproductive rights and elect WFP champions in critical races across the country who will defend our rights in Congress?

Ever since the Supreme Court struck down Roe, in state after state, we have seen our reproductive rights whittled away.

  • In Louisiana, doctors have had to resort to providing medically invasive Cesarean section surgeries to get around the state’s anti-abortion law, when the life of the mother was at stake.3
  • In Alabama, in vitro fertilization clinics were put into legal limbo after the state’s Supreme Court ruled that frozen embryos are people. While the state has since passed a stopgap bill to allow families to continue to receive IVF treatments, at least one provider in the state has said the bill still does not give the legal protection they need to resume services.4
  • In Congress, Republicans blocked a bill that would protect nationwide access to IVF treatments, despite claiming to support it.5
  • Meanwhile, some red states are considering “fetal personhood” legislation that would not only put abortion and IVF treatments at risk, but could also result in legal challenges against certain types of contraceptives including some types of IUDs.6

What all of these attacks show is that the Republican Party isn’t just going after abortion rights, but all reproductive rights — and putting women’s health in jeopardy.

No matter if you live in a red, blue, or purple state — it is up to all of us to put a stop to these attacks and protect our fundamental right to bodily autonomy.

Will you contribute $10, or whatever you can afford, so we can reach voters across the country and elect WFP champions to Congress who will put an end to Republican control of the House and stand up for our rights?
