I can’t make it through Women’s History Month without talking about the inspiring women leading the state of Michigan. 

Each day I continue to be impressed by the work Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson are doing to protect our democracy, increase the number of jobs, fix the roads, and more.

I’m also honored to work alongside local women leaders from across Oakland County and beyond. Nothing says girl power more than a group of women who lead their communities!

And donors think so, too. Last cycle, women made up 42% of Michigan’s political donations — making our state hold the 4th highest percentage of women donors in the country.

Women are empowered to give to political candidates because they believe in the work we’re doing. Whether that’s tackling large issues — like protecting abortion rights — or on more obscure issues — like increasing funding for women in STEM — we are proactively creating change.

And like the statistics demonstrate, we’re able to continue this progress because of grassroots supporters like you.
