Team, there’s no question about it. Voting rights are under attack in our country.

We’re seeing nationwide increases in extreme restrictions to ballot access, and this is especially true for voters in marginalized communities. Conservative judges and politicians are attempting to eviscerate what is left of the Voting Rights Act.

These attacks are troubling, and in New Jersey, we’re proud that the Murphy Administration has enacted some of the most expansive voting reforms to protect and expand voting rights and increase election transparency.

New Jersey’s voter turnout is among the highest in the nation, in part thanks to Gov. Murphy’s work expanding the state’s vote-by-mail program and establishing in-person early voting. At Stronger Fairer Forward, we’re proud to see this is just the beginning as the administration strives for more progress, including same-day voter registration.

More people voting and having their voices heard is always a good thing, and we should fight for it every day.
