Mitch McConnell isn't taking a break -- in fact, his super PAC just announced plans to spend $12.6 million on misleading television ads on Joni Ernst's behalf.

Raising money is the last thing we want to be doing right now, but we can't let McConnell and Ernst get away with trying to buy this battleground U.S. Senate seat.

Even in the middle of this crisis, they have been too afraid -- too scared -- to stand up to him and fight to save American lives. When Trump questioned and downplayed a governor's request for ventilators, what did McConnell and Ernst do?

Nothing.

And they refuse to demand that Trump actually use full powers of the Defense Production Act to produce the equipment our hospitals and health care workers need.

This is cowardice.

Unless we replace Trump and remove his enablers from Congress, the failed status quo will continue. A crisis will hit, the President will lie, and ordinary Americans will pay the price.

But given tonight's critical deadline, the even higher stakes in this election, and the millions Mitch McConnell is dumping into Iowa, we can't slow down.
